Thando House provides a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for vulnerable and abandoned babies to facilitate their adoption into permanent “forever” families. We receive babies from birth to two years who have been abandoned, orphaned, neglected, or were born out of an unplanned pregnancy.

  • Welcome each baby with love and treat them as a member of the family

  • Provide the necessary support to help them heal physically, emotionally and spititually

  • Provide as stable a home and life for these children as we can, so that their transition into their adoptive families are as easy as possible

  • Cater to their physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual needs

  • Ensure that the babies have a sound start in their young lives

  • Get them adopted by their forever family within their first two years of life
